In-Person Art Program at the Arts Collaborative at 18 Main
Celebrate the last day of spring semester classes with an afternoon of art-making. Spend time with What is Missing?, an interactive website and virtual project designed by Maya Lin as her "last memorial," with its focus on habitat degradation and loss. Choose the stories that resonate with you, and illustrate them with watercolor pencils and paints. We'll design a space that has all you need to create—watercolor papers and paints, snacks to munch on, and an art-inspired soundtrack to set the mood.
The art activity is an adaptation of the current Create-It Kit for Colby: Earth Connections, designed by Student Guides Aakanksha Chandrashekaran, Katherine Hernández, and Emily Tan.
This program is limited to 30 people, and all participants need to be part of the Colby College COVID-19 testing program. Once we reach capacity, you will be placed on a waiting list and we will contact you if we have cancellations.
